A steamy teaser for Netflix‘s Supersex hit Instagram today with a cheeky one-word caption, “morning!” The clip — posted to promote the seven-episode Italian series inspired by the real life of porn icon Rocco Siffredi — features actor Alessandro Borghi as Siffredi, surrounded by a harem of at least four women.

The shirtless Borghi is focused on one woman as he kisses her, and then wraps his hands around her buttocks and grinds away in a highly suggestive manner. Well, some of Netflix’s Instagram followers found it to be a lot to swallow along with their morning coffee. The comments section quickly filled up with nearly 12,000 comments (and 286,695 likes) as of press time, with many questioning whether such a post was in violation of community guidelines.

The short answer: No. According to Instagram’s community guidelines, the platform encourages users to “respect everyone on Instagram, don’t spam people or post nudity.” A more detailed version states that Instagram does not include “photos, videos and some digitally-created content that show sexual intercourse, genitals and close-ups of fully nude buttocks. It also includes some photos of female nipples, but photos in the context of breastfeeding, birth giving and after-birth moments, health-related situations (for example, post-mastectomy, breast cancer awareness or gender confirmation surgery) or an act of protest are allowed. Nudity in photos of paintings and sculptures is OK, too.”

The scene from Supersex has no nudity and the actresses who are engaging with Borghi all have articles of clothing on, some skimpier than others. That said, a curious thing happened with the post after it was shared by Netflix. The Hollywood Reporter noticed that it disappeared for more than an hour, only to reappear around 3 p.m. for reasons still unclear.

Musician Charles Giddins reacted to the post by saying, “Imagine being an [ex-porn] addict for some years now and then you open Instagram and see this. It can definitely trigger something in the back of your mind to just go watch a little bit, and then [you’re] back to where you were. Thanks to ‘Netflix and chill’ here.”

A Lego content creator also chimed in, with user Minifigbin posting, “I seriously thought Netflix got hacked.”

But not everyone was clutching their pearls. Influencer and reality star Harry Jowsey joked, “Ugh stop you’re gonna make me text my ex,” adding, “Netflix you’re the ex.” (Jowsey appeared on Too Hot to Handle.)

If you want to see what all the, ahem, buzz is about, Supersex is now streaming, and the teaser is here. Following its March 6 debut, reviews are just starting to trickle in, with The Daily Beast calling it “Netflix’s most NSFW show ever.”

THR has reached out to Netflix for comment.
