Martin Shkreli (born in Brooklyn, New York on April, 1, 1983) is an American entrepreneur and pharmaceutical executive. He is co-founder of the hedge fund MSMB Capital Management, co-founder and former CEO of the biotechnology firm Retrophin, and founder and former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals. Martin has an estimated net worth of $100 million dollars. In December 2015, he was arrested on federal fraud charges after his company hiked the price of a life-saving drug used by AIDS and cancer patients.

 

Best Known For:
Martin is best known for his fraud charges, buying the lone copy of a Wu-Tan Clan album for $2 million, and offering Kayne West $10 million to buy all rights to his new album.

Personal Life:
Martin is the son to Albanian and Croatian immigrants who worked as janitors. He is not married and does not have any children. Martin lives in an apartment building in midtown Manhattan.
