Chris Brown is opening up about his childhood  — and some of the details aren’t very innocent.

Among the big revelations of his new profile in The Guardian is Brown’s claim that he was just eight when he lost his virginity to a girl who was 14 or 15 at the time.

“It’s different in the country,” Brown said of growing up in Tappahannock, Va. – population 2,000. He said he and the cousins he grew up with had consumed quite a bit of pornography by that age.

“By that point, we were already kind of like hot to trot, you know what I’m saying? Like, girls, we weren’t afraid to talk to them; I wasn’t afraid,” Brown said. “So, at eight, being able to do it, it kind of preps you for the long run, so you can be a beast at it. You can be the best at it.”

Brown also spoke of his 2009 arrest for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna, calling it “probably the biggest wake-up call for me.”

“I learned from it, and it was almost like… I wouldn’t say it happened for a reason, but it was something to trigger my mind to be more of a mature adult. To handle myself in situations, don’t throw tantrums, don’t be a baby about it,” Brown said.

Brown also opened up about his fears the paparazzi could falsely accuse him of a crime, and his ambitions to not just be rich, but to be wealthy: ” There’s a difference, you know? I’m rich, but I’m not in the $200m mark.”

Brown will release his sixth studio album, X, on December 3 via  RCA Records.
